Monthly Bush Rant...Part 1

Ok, it's been about a month and it's about time for one of my pro-Bush rants. Apparently, a month of anti-Bush criticism builds to critical mass once a month and the pressure must be released. I broke this one up into two parts because I want to devote all of my attention to one topic...Cindy Sheehan.

Now, this isn't directed to Cindy. She's a grieving mother and lashing out at someone to blame. I have four children. I couldn't imagine how painful it would be for one of my sons or daughters were to die, especially doing something which I disagreed with the way Cindy disagrees with the war. This is towards all those fuckers who thrust Cindy into the spotlight, made her a cause, and prevented her from being what she should be, a grieving mother, and turned her into what I called her in the previous paragraph...a topic.

A Red Flag for Parents and Teachers

Ok...hypothetically speaking...Let's say that there's this teenager and you are his parent or teacher. Let's say this teenage boy has a slightly obsessive attachment to his book bag. Red Flag #1...

Let's say that the male teens school implements a "No Bookbag Policy" which he tries to ignore, due to his slightly obsessive attachment to his bookbag, an obsession that has the male teen sitting in his desk with said bookbag on, and the principal repeatedly has to remind said male teen to not bring his bookbag, and eventually...it gets through to him to leave the precious bag home...

Let's say, the next day after the talk with the principal which finally convinces said male teen to leave his bookbag at home, the male teen wears a cold weather jacket...IN 80 DEGREE WEATHER! And that's 80 degrees at 8:00 AM...on a day with a high of 94 and a humidity of 55%...RED FLAG #2.

Best case scenario...the teen in question is just trying to push his limits. But more likely, the teen is keeping something in his bookbag that got transferred to his jacket that he doesn't want to let out of his sight and it can't be good, or he'd say something. Or he uses his bookbag for petty theft, and since he can't use his bookbag, he wants to use his cold weather jacket when it's not cold.

Watch for suspicious behaviors and tendencies...sometimes what seems innocent but makes no sense to you...isn't innocent and makes perfect sense to the teen. Keep your eyes open.
